    Position Overview

    The IT Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the company’s IT operations infrastructure and related business systems.  Specific areas of responsibility include developing a strategic plan in collaboration with business executives, managing a portfolio of upgrades and improvement initiatives, developing and managing the department budget, hiring and managing IT staff, providing high-quality training and support to end users, and ensuring high performance and reliability of IT systems.


    The IT Operations Manager’s efforts will focus on building upon a high-performing IT team, developing innovative technology solutions to business challenges and maintaining core IT infrastructure including networks, servers, PC’s, mobile devices, help desk support, and a variety of business applications. 

    • Responsible for IT infrastructure supporting 35+ offices throughout the US and Canada, serving over 400 end users. Manages a staff of 3+ employees who deliver and support IT services.
    • Assists in the evaluation, and leads the implementation, of transformational IT initiatives building upon established infrastructure, takes advantage of new IT solutions/delivery models, and supports a model of rapid growth.
    • Manages IT Department and collaborates extensively with internal partners including Field Services and Applications Development.
    • Delivers excellent customer experience of IT through service and solutions that are user-friendly, timely, and proactive. Whenever possible, prevents problems instead of reacting to them.
    • Ensures high availability and performance of enterprise voice and data networks and critical business applications.
    • Sets the strategic direction of the IT Operations Department, including analyzing and recommending various strategic improvement initiatives.
    • Evaluates and implements new technologies that deliver business value, whether helping employees do their jobs better; improving cost efficiencies; or increasing the company’s resilience to disruption.
    • Develops corporate policies and procedures for network, system, and device use and security.
    • Documents IT networks and procedures for communication, training, and disaster recovery purposes.
    • Continually learns about and seeks to understand the opportunities (and potential pitfalls) of emerging technology solutions and delivery models.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 10+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience.
    • IT budgeting experience required. 
    • Previous project management and IT Service Management experience.
    • Microsoft Active Directory; PowerShell Scripting; MS Office 365 (including: Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Azure, Teams).
    • VMWare; Nutanix/AHV; SAN; SCCM; Cisco networking equipment and software including Meraki, Cisco Call Manager; network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, familiarity with content services packages, ; familiarity with ITIL.
    • Experience evaluating and managing outside vendors and consulting partners.
    • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong critical-thinking, communication, and customer service skills.

    Preferred Experience

    • Prior experience leading IT transformation initiatives preferred.
    • Bachelors or Associate’s degree with an Information Technology – related major.
