    Position Overview

    The Senior Software Administrator is part of a team responsible for administering information, applications, products and systems as directed by a Technical Lead or a Manager. This position supports, maintains and documents the systems which are critical in supporting business operations. This role is highly skilled with extensive proficiency and works on the most complex issues, independently and is expected to mentor less experienced team members.

    Responsibilities


    • Produce, publish and maintain documentation adhering to department protocol.

    • Thoroughly document system configuration and changes. 

    • Lead coordination with network, database and server administrators to prepare non-production and production environments for new or enhanced systems, processes or applications. 

    • Work seamlessly with other teammates and cross-functional areas. 

    • Lead participation in infrastructure architecture, such as capacity planning and security.

    • Lead identification and participation in system installation, upgrades/patches, configuration and tuning. 

    • Create and maintain reports, scripts, programs or other tools within systems to maintain system health and integrity.

    • Define and maintain system and application security. 

    • Follow, mentor and implement processes to adhere to the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG’s) methodology for standardized secure installation and maintenance of computer software and hardware. 

    • Provide user provisioning for various software applications (e.g. add, rename, and delete users). 

    • Configure, administer and monitor all aspects of systems. 

    • Create, modify, run and maintain custom code and utilities. 

    • Lead collaboration with architects, designers, requirements analysts, database and system administrators and developers on system and application design.

    • Promote changes and releases through the various test, quality assurance and production systems.

    • Export, import, build and deploy various system configurations and components. 

    • Systems and applications problem resolutions and production support.

    • Work with vendor and internal support areas. 

    • Research complex production issues and document the cause and resolution of outages. 

    • Lead disaster recovery planning, documentation and implementation.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of administration and support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Strong knowledge and working experience on ForgeRock.

    • Deep Identity Management knowledge and understanding of customer integration scenarios. 

    • Must understand Identity and Access Management concepts and standards including but not limited to SAML, LDAPS, WS-Federation, OAuth, Federated Identify Management, and XACML., REST and be able to document these within the context of client engagement processes.

    • Demonstrated ability to draw high-level architecture diagrams and provide supporting documentation where necessary.

    • Experience with Active Directory / ADFS and LDAP directories including best practice to setup for public and private access and identity attributes.

    • Strong familiarity with how to implement Authentication and Authorization standards. 

    • Strong familiarity with Password Management solutions. 

    • Advanced experience with networking and ability to work with operations and support security audits and implementation. 

    • Basic understanding of firewall endpoints, access and publishing policies, including the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues in complex scenarios, with consideration of the outward lying network technologies.

    • Demonstrated experience & knowledge with one or more cloud platform. 

    • Strong understanding of IaaS and SaaS service integration models. 

    • Working knowledge of certificate security and PKI .

    • Experience with Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL or other database technologies 

    • Experience with Tomcat configuration and maintenance.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server. 

    • Demonstrated knowledge of IBM MQ. 

    • Demonstrated knowledge of IBM Tivoli Directory Server (TDS) and IBM Security Directory Suite (SDS).

    • Advanced knowledge of Relational Databases and query languages (DB2 and SQL). 

    • Advanced knowledge of programming and software development tools such as .NET and Java. 

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Information Systems analysis principles and techniques. 

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, including system requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation. 

    • Solid understanding of various server platforms such as AIX, Linux and Windows. 

    • Solid understanding of Information Systems client-server fundamentals. 

    • Solid understanding of SOA/Web Services like SOAP and REST.
