    Position Overview

    The Data Conversion Specialist is responsible for successful data migrations to the software platform. This position also includes project management for UCM interfaces.


    Technical Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain various tools and processes to complete data migrations from other software packages in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Convert data from multiple data sources into Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Lead the Data Conversion team on data conversions.
    • Oversee and lead the development and maintenance of Scribe and data conversion scripts for the cleanup of data.
    • Create data verification plans to be used during test conversions.
    • Create databases for building and testing the applications.
    • Set up and maintain UCM SQL Servers. This includes installation, backups, database maintenance, and high availability.
    • Troubleshoot SQL server to identify bottlenecks (IO, hardware, query related, etc); Resolve database related issues.
    • Query tuning as it relates to performance.
    • Assist with SSRS report writing, as time permits.

    Project Management:

    • Manage multiple data projects simultaneously.
    • Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing migration documentation.
    • Participate in the Implementation Team (external), Advisory Board and Steering Committee meetings.
    • Oversee the refinement and maintenance of conversion toolkit templates.
    • Assist with coordination of cleanup efforts and toolkit completion.
    • Manage documentation and internal policy and procedure as it relates to the Data Migration efforts to the UCM Software Installation and Implementation.
    • Develop conversion plans including staff scheduling for the migration of data.
    • Keep all internal and external contributors informed of deliverables, expectations, and any changes to the conversion plan; as well as tracking the overall progress of conversion as it relates to the Go-Live deadline.
    • Oversee and assist in the development of UCM interfaces.
    • Work with other UCM managers to develop task schedules and assignments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information systems, business management or related field.
    • 5+ years of technology industry experience or equivalent years of IT experience. 
    • Utilizing industry standard systems applications and web related technologies, including CRM, Scribe, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and MS Office products.
    • Demonstrated abilities in assisting with multiple technology projects.
    • Working independently, interpersonal interaction and communication.

    Preferred Experience

    • Knowledge of county and state government preferred.
