    GDC IT Solutions is currently recruiting for a Technology Solutions Sales Manager in the Harrisburg, PA area.

    Position Overview

    The Technology Solutions Sales Manager acts as the Solutions & Technical Services internal leader for the VAR business. Directs the technical support and services teams and assists in driving the overall solutions technical services plan across all product categories. Key areas of focus include managing the day-to-day support and longer term coverage model for the pre-sales team, designing and supporting new technical services, managing integration services,  working with key vendor partners and category leaders to determine our solutions/support priorities, driving the pre-sales team to achieve expected SLA’s, mentoring and coaching direct reports, improving customer service levels, establishing necessary ROI reporting, developing technical training and informational content, conducting associate technical trainings, maintaining technical certification inventories, developing and executing a Solutions Lab plan, and conducting customer-facing webcasts.  

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure the pre-sales team is accountable for addressing reseller pre-sales support issues, including the creation and quoting of comprehensive bills of materials in a timely and accurate manner, first call resolution or escalation, and logging of every contact and quote in CRM.
    • Drive the overall Solutions Lab operational plan.
    • Create, develop, and present Solutions Lab customer-facing webcasts.
    • Work with supporting vendors to develop ROI reporting for vendors; create and manage custom activity reporting as required.
    • Manage the pre-sales team and help as needed in providing level one technical support via call/email with resellers and sales reps.
    • Work with sales and other functions to ensure appropriate funding support and to plan, create, develop and manage webcasts and other customer-facing technical sales vehicles.
    • Manage pre-sales team to build custom bill of material for resellers.
    • Manage pre-sales team to resolve or escalate all customer pre-sales tech support instances.
    • Ensure all quotes and customer interactions are logged in CRM appropriately to track pipeline through order closure.
    • Create and manage to completion customer contact campaigns as required.
    • Participate in vendor trainings and certifications, and manage team to do the same.
    • Maintain an inventory of all technical certifications.
    • Work with business unit leaders on cross training, level one support, service levels, quality control and workload plans.
    • Manage integration team and offerings including configuration processes, cost/pricing, workflow and staffing.
    • Work with executives on developing competitive technical services offerings.  
    • Participate in customer trainings at events and through webcasts.
    • Assist with development, setup and execution of multi-vendor, solutions focused trade show booths at events as needed.
    • Work with team to develop and conduct sales associate technical trainings, including as part of the new hire training process.
    • Test new hardware/software/Cloud applications in Solutions Lab as needed.
    • Manage schedule, use, and upkeep of Solutions Lab.
    • Establish strong relationship with vendors, sales associates, customers, and team members.
    • Coach and mentor solution team members to develop needed skills and strengths to succeed.
    • Work directly with customers and coworkers to resolve problems, provide quotes, and close business.
    • Motivate team members; create and provide positive and supportive work environment that allows and encourages all associates to do their best work possible.
    • Responsible for maintaining high level of customer service and satisfaction and for creating positive customer experiences.
    • Project a professional company image through phone and email interaction.
    • Help launch solution initiatives through outbound customer calls.
    • Continue education/certifications as assigned. 

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
    • 1 to 3 years technical sales/management experience.
    • Experience helping customers figure out what systems need to be built or implemented.
    • Working knowledge of how to put IT systems together and how they work. 
    • Impeccable customer service skills and team-player attitude.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills/Strong inter-personal and management skills.
    • Ability to work and develop solutions.

    Preferred Experience

    • Technical certifications including CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, Office 365, VMware, VSphere preferred.
